About

Travis Peakman

My strength is connecting the parts of a project that usually get handled separately. I look at the business goal, the user experience, the design direction, and the build requirements together, then turn that into something clear and usable.

I work across the whole span of a project rather than one slice of it: client websites, web apps, automation systems, product planning, and digital brand and content work. Trained at VanArts in Web Development and Digital Design.

That range is what this portfolio is built around. Every project here involved figuring out what the real problem was before building anything.

Before this I spent 16 years in construction and project management. Most of what carried over isn't technical: scoping work before it starts, sequencing it so nothing gets built twice, and talking to an owner about what they actually need.

I ask a lot of questions early on. I'd rather find the real problem in the first week than rebuild in the sixth.
